Team 2152 S*M*A*S*H of Spruce Creek High School wins FIRST Robotics Competition in Orlando over Spring Break. Team 2152 members participated in the 3 day Orlando Regional on March 20-22, 2025. Students were able to attend multiple workshops and speak to a variety of college and career representatives. One of the highlights was the UCF Experimental Rocketry Club.

After a grueling 10 qualification matches, Team 2152 was the 2nd pick of Alliance 1 for playoffs! Thank you to our Alliance Captain Team 180 – SPAM as well as our Alliance Partner Team 179 – Children of the Swamp for choosing Team 2152 S*M*A*S*H.

Playoffs are set in double elimination brackets. Our alliance maintained an undefeated run throughout playoffs to ultimately match up against the winner of the lower bracket – Alliance 2 (233, 1902, and 9670). We played a total of two finals matches to secure the win. Team 2152 S*M*A*S*H was tasked with playing a majority of defense which allowed us to earn a Finals Match 1 score of 182 to 127. During Finals Match 2, our alliance partner 179’s claw broke and was unable to continue scoring. Our drive team was able to quickly and efficiently switch to offense while 179 moved into defense on our behalf. The final score to Finals Match 2 ended with a 20 point lead in our favor securing the win of the regional!

Thank you to all our sponsors, mentors, parents and students for all the hard work so far this season! There is a new ranking system in place this year which means we still have one more regional coming up April 2-5, 2025 in Kenner, Louisiana to potentially earn our bids to worlds.

Have no fear, S*M*A*S*H is HERE!
