About
SMASH is a FIRST Robotics team based at Spruce Creek High School. Founded in 2007 as Team Raptor, the team competed as Team Daytona from 2008 to 2011 before officially becoming SMASH in 2012. Inspired by the show M*A*S*H, the team embraces a military doctor theme.
Our team strives to reach out and encourage STEM education in our community, primarily through our student-led outreach groups. These outreach groups focus on utilizing our technical skills to assist individuals and groups within our community, while also inspiring students to become involved in STEM. We have started more than 90 FIRST Robotics teams and host yearly summer camps to teach hands-on skills.
To join the team, mentor, or have any questions, please email us at team2152@gmail.com. We encourage all 9th-12th graders to apply for the upcoming season; no experience is required. FIRST Robotics Competition seasons typically begin in January, and applicants should apply before then.
